Missing cover and/or description on BN
Q. Why is my cover and/or description missing from the Barnes & Noble catalog?
I suspect the title metadata is still 'populating' their online catalog as data is pushed from Ingram as setup is still in process. Eventually, it will appear. The data 'push' from IngramSpark started on 3/2:
A week later, the book cover is up, but the description is missing.
If you want to know how long it should take, you can reach out to IngramSpark support (ingramsparksupport@ingramcontent.com), but I'm pretty sure they'll tell you 2-4 weeks is typically and highly dependent upon the retailers systems.
It's worth noting in my experience that the systems take longer than they used to, under the weight of so many books being published thanks to AI. Companies like KDP & IngramSpark are doing their best to keep up.
